Evaluations: The first step to therapy is determining your child’s areas of strengths and challenges. Evaluations may consist of therapeutic observations, parent report and administration of formal tests. Goals are then determined based on evaluation results, but most importantly family concerns and priorities for intervention.

Consultations: A consult may be scheduled to discuss your child’s speech and language development prior to, during or at discharge of therapy services. Consults typically include parents and can include other service providers such as therapists, teachers or other caregivers.

Therapy: Therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes. As Covid restrictions allow, caregivers are encouraged to join sessions and will be provided with ideas at the end of sessions in order to carry over therapy strategies to every day routines.  In-person and virtual therapy sessions are currently both available.
