Happy Friday Friends!
With Thanksgiving upon us I thought it would be fun to do a “Thanksgiving activities” round up! I hope you can carve out some time to do a project (or two) during this hectic, but joyful time of year. If a project is just one too many thing on your list, I suggest a simple walk to collect leaves and writing (or drawing a picture) of what your family is grateful for.
1. Disguise a Turkey craft from Teachers Pay Teacher! This is super simple, but fun. Print out extras to keep small Thanksgiving day guests occupied. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Disguise-a-Turkey-Project-FREEBIE-972674
2. Make an a-dor-able Mr. & Mrs. Turkey Potato Head from Kiki Creates! I think this one could be enjoyed throughout the year. http://kikicreates.blogspot.com/2011/11/mr-and-mrs-turkey-potato-head-free.html?m=1
3. Make an easy Oreo turkey together from Rocky Mountain Savings. Kids are so proud when they get to share a recipe. I like to have kids talk through the steps of making a cooking project and making a picture “recipe” as you go. This is a great language builder! https://www.rockymountainsavings.com/thanksgiving-turkey-cookies-savings-on-oreo/
4. Fall leaf painting from Minne Mama. If you’re intimidated by a painting mess, have kids paint in the bathtub and then you can easily spray down the extra paint! http://minne-mama.blogspot.com/2014/10/fall-leaf-painting.html
Enjoy!
